This text is the point of no return for OCE. Until now, we could still try to save a classic vision of the world. But by asserting that "nothing precedes emergence", we cut the bridge with any metaphysics of origin. The system assumes its radicality here: the universe is orphaned by a cause.

End of Theology
This text is the final blow to any theology (religious or secular). If the emergence is unprecedented, there is no God, no intelligent Big Bang, no eternal Laws of Nature. The laws they emerge with the universe, not before it.
Abertura Absoluta
If the future is not contained in the past, then the future is absolutely open. This establishes the possibility of real novelty. Evolution is not just the unfolding of a script; is the writing of script in real time.
Responsabilidade Humana
Paradoxically, the absence of a divine plan increases our responsibility. Se there is no prior guide, it is us (and life in general) who have to invent the path. Cosmic orphanhood is the condition of our ethical majority.
