After we diagnosed "ontological deafness" in Text 4, Text 5 offers the cure: the rehabilitation of the random. This text is the pillar that supports the idea of emergence. Without real randomness, there is no emergence, just the unfolding of a previous program. Here, we assert that the universe has no program.

Foundation of Freedom
Although we are still in Field I (Cosmos), this text lays the physical foundations for human freedom (Field III). If the universe were deterministic, freedom would be an illusion. By proving that matter is indeterminate, the text guarantees that freedom is real.
The Engine of Evolution
Randomness is presented as the "fuel" of evolution. Without random variations (mutations, encounters, accidents), natural selection would have no material to work with. Randomness is, therefore, the creative partner of necessity.
Ontologia Aberta
Defines OCE as an open ontology. The future does not exist yet. This is opposed to all theological or fatalistic views where destiny is already set. Here, destiny is made by walking.
